Organic is a labeling term found on products that have been produced using cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that support the cycling of on-farm resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. Organic producers rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical, or biologically-based farming methods to the fullest extent possible.

Products made from planet-friendly materials such as GOTS or Oeko Tex certified textiles.

Ethically made products are produced by companies that meet the minimum requirements of ethical impact on workers, customers, the community, and the environment. The best-known certification in this space is a Certified B Corporation.

Products made by brands that are either Climate Neutral or 1% for the Planet Certified, or those that offset their carbon emissions through other carbon offset methods.

Products that utilize packaging that is made from recycled, plant-based, or zero waste materials and/or are refillable by design.

Products that are manufactured and produced by methods that do not involve experimentation on animals.

Products that are created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. This means they are formulated without phthalates, formaldehyde or formaldehyde releasers, oxybenzone and octinoxate, hydroquinone, triclosan, coal tar, methylisothiazolinone, insoluble plastic, microbeads.

Products bearing a fair trade label are grown, produced, and sold under a system that guarantees that farmers, artisans, and factory workers are paid fairly for their work.
